TEAMS grants programs (Theological Education and Ministry Skills)
Grants to Support Locally-Based Training and Leadership Development TEAMS desires to support efforts within Classis Red Mesa to provide training and leadership development. In 2005 Classis Red Mesa received a grant from Southwest Bible and Missionary Conference to support the training of Native Americans within Classis Red Mesa for ministry. The TEAMS (Theological Educational and Ministry Support) Committee of Classis is responsible to administer the funds as long as they are available. The purpose of this fund is to Invest in the Education and Training of Native Americans for Church Ministries who will serve or continue to serve and lead the churches and ministries of this Classis. Scholarships to Support Participation in Workshops or Other Training TEAMS desires to support people who seek further training in ministry. With limited funds, TEAMS must prioritize those who will teach and share training with others. Workshop Scholarship Application The TEAMS Training Scholarship is for Native Americans who are active members of Classis Red Mesa Churches. It supports training opportunities for Native Americans who are involved in ministry in their local churches, Christian Schools and missions. The TEAMS committee has a limited budget for workshop training. Thus availability of funds will be a factor in its decision on each scholarship application. Download Scholarship Application Native American Tuition and Internship Scholarships The tuition scholarship is designed to encourage Native Americans within the churches to get formal education to enable them to serve in ministry with Native Americans. It is for people who intend to make a significant commitment of their professional or voluntary time to evangelism, outreach and ministry within a Classis RedMesa Church, School or related ministry. Requirements: Must be a Native American, must have been a member of a Classis Red Mesa Church for at least a year, must have the endorsement of the council or consistory of the church where his or her membership reside.
